To be fair, no one seriously expected either of them to get very far: Bloomberg was behind "random" stop and frisk and reapportioned 9/11 funds to everything but 9/11. Buttigieg had his own history with racism, and his economic recovery in South Bend is overrated. Good for a centrist, in that he doesn't just Holodomor every state not touching the ocean in the name of Chinese slavery, but bad for a sane person.
